The remains of Wm. R. Vaughn arrived Tuesday evening from Washington, D.C. where he died
of cancer of the stomach, Nov. 14. The casket was taken to the residence of his brother,
Charles Vanghn, on Wheeling avenue, where they remained over night attended by his brother
odd fellows. The funeral services were conducted at the house by Rev. F. A. Brown assisted
by Rev. Dr. Milligan. After which the order took charge and conducted the services at the
cemetery with their beautiful burial ritual. Mr. Vaughn is a son of Joseph Vaughn, was
born in Washington, this county June 13th, 1860. In 1882 he went to Montana where he
remained till April 1892 when he came to Ogden, Utah. In July he went to Washington City
and made his home with his sister, Mrs. Montgomery up to the time of his death. His
nephew, R.M. Montgomery accompanied the remains from Washington City to Cambridge.
