Last Will of Joseph Beaty
In the name of the benevolent Father of All: I, Joseph Beaty of Wells County,
Indiana do make and publish this my last will and testament.
First .......that my just debts and all charges be paid out of my estate.
.......give to my daughters Hannah Allen Five Hundred and fifty Dollars and to Mary H.
Hamilton Four hundred and fifty dollars and to my son William R. Beaty Eight hundred
dollars, to Andrew D. Beaty Eight hundred dollars, to James K. P. Beaty Eight hundred
dollars, and Clark B. Beaty Three hundred and twenty dollars, I give and devise to my son
Clark B. Beaty Three hundred dollars to him. The residue of my estate both real and
personal I give and devise to my wife Cyntha Beaty during her natural lifetime. After the
decease of my wife Cyntha Beaty to be divided equally between my children and then to each
one and their heirs being charged in the division that with what I have already given. I
do hereby nominate and appoint my son William R. Beaty executor of this my last will and
testament , in testimony hereof I have set my hand and seal this 23rd day of August 1882.

Be it remembered that on the 27th day of February, 1888, Abram Woodward one of the
subscribing witnesses to the within and forgoing last will and testament of Joseph Beaty
late of said County, deceased, personally appeared before J. H. Ormsby, Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Wells County, in the State of Indiana, and being duly sworn by the clerk
of said county upon his oath Declared and testified as follows, that is to say: That on
the 23rd day of August 1882, he saw the said Joseph Beaty sign his name to said instrument
in writing as and for his last Will and Testament, and that his deformant at the same time
heard the said Joseph Beaty declare the said instrument in writing to be his last Will and
Testament, and that the said instrument in writing was at the same time at the request of
the same Joseph Beaty and with his consent attested and subscribed by the same affiant and
Ezekial Roe in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other as
subscribing witnes!
ses thereto, and that the said Joseph Beaty was at the time of signing and subscribing of
said instrument in writing as aforesaid of full age, (that is more than twenty-one years
of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory and not under any coercion or restraint
as the same deformant verily believes, and further deponent says not.

EXECUTOR'S SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY
Notice is hereby given that the undersigned Executor of the last will of Joseph Beaty,
deceased, will sell at public auction in the town of Ossian, Wells county, Ind., on
Saturday, August 27, 1887, the personal goods of said estate, consisting of household and
kitchen furniture, beds, bedding, and numerous other articles.
Sale to begin at 1 o'clock PM.
TERMS--A credit of six months will be given, the purchaser giving note with approved
security, waiving valuation and appraisement laws.
