I wondered about the transfer of records...how could they have been
transferred from Knox County when this was uncharted territory up here. And
dated 1820?

I am only comparing to what I found on my Watson Family in Ohio.
Ashland Co. was made from Richland and when Ashland became a county this
is where the records was I found. Always possible that Knox kept some of
the records too. Always a debatable question. Maybe someone at Allen
Co. can answer. Pat
