Looking for anyone with any ties to my g-g-g-grandfather John Q. Adams,
(1812-1885) who along with his wife, Patience (Garretson)(1814-1901) is
buried in the Nottingham Cemetery. They had 10 children: Edward
(1840-1893), Hanna (b. 1845-married Horace Barnes), Henrietta (b.
1841-married George Fosnight), John Q (1843-1925- married to Jeanette ?,
Eliza Burden, and Mary Pace-buried in Stahl Cemetery), Margaret
(1847-1925-married Joseph Mills), Mary M. (b. 1856 married Alfred Pace),
Nathan P. (b. 1854-married Ella Shank), Sarah O. (b. 1850-married James
Denton), Thompson W. (b. 1848), and William G. (1839-1916). William was
married to both Barbara Ann Fosnaugh and Rachel Thornburg. He is also
buried at Nottingham. At the time of his death in 1916, his obit said he
was survived by four children: John W. who lived at home, Elias who was
working in Oklahoma, Mrs. Arla Chenoweth of Nottingham, and Margaret G.
Adams of Oregon. He was also survived by his brother John of Nottingham an!
d two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Thornburg of Bluffton and Mrs. Margaret Gable
of Windsor (Randolph Co.)
