There was also another major Interurban Accident in I believe Kendall in
which about 100 people were killed coming to or back from a fair in Ft. Wayne.

The railroad trackage ran south from Ft. Wayne to the county line and
North from Muncie to the south county line, by 1861; but took an
additional 8 years to be connected in Wells County. The finances were
requested from local Wells County businessmen but it took them a while to
get 'on-board'. I believe the original name was FTW, Muncie, & Cinncy.
This is from my memory but I believe the source info can be found in the
1881 Hist. Hand Atlas of Wells County.
