Heart Attack Fatal to Don Aschliman
Donald E. Aschliman, 15, a sophomore at the Central high school in Fort Wayne, died at 4
p.m. Wednesday at the home of an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Gilgen, of Vera Cruz,
where he had visited two days. Death was due to a heart attack following an illness of a
year.
The lad was born in Wells county, a son of Clarence and Grace Luginbill Aschliman, but had
resided almost his entire life in Fort Wayne. His parents reside in that city, at 533 East
Masterson street.
Surviving besides the parents are a sister, Betty, 14, and a brother, Larry, 2, and the
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Aschliman, near Vera Cruz, and Mrs. Minnie Luginbill, of
Vera Cruz.
The body will remain at the Jahn funeral home for services at 2 p.m. Saturday in charge of
Rev. H. H. Meckstroth, pastor of the Evangelical and Reformed church at Vera Cruz. Burial
will be in the Six Mile cemetery.
