Mrs. Lisetta Beer, 87, who resided east of Bluffton on State Road 124, widow of Eli Beer,
died at 10:50 a.m. today at the Decatur Hospital. She wad been ill 10 days and death was
due to a heart ailment.
Born July 27, 1874 in Switzerland she was the daughter of Mathias and Mary Ann Gallie
Liechty. Her marriage to Eli Beer, who died in 1936, took place in Adams County in 1891.
Mrs. Beer was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.
Surviving are a son, Leroy of Decatur Route 3, three daughters, Mrs. Albert (Leona)
Walchle, Mrs. John (Sylvia) Ebnit, both of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. William (Wilma) Bertsch of
Decatur Route 4; a brother, Carl Liechty of Columbus, O.; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Beer of
Berne, Mrs. Selma Christner and Mrs. Erwin Stucky, both of Monroe; 24 grandchildren and 66
great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Goodwin Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and at 11 a.m. in the
Apostolic Christian Church with Rev. Samuel Aeschliman officiating. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
