Charles Grove, 68, died instantly of a heart attack at 7 p.m. Friday at his place of
residence above the Montgomery Ward store. He had been in failing health the past two
years.
The decedent was born March 4, 1873 in Wells county, son of Lewis and Josephine Stahl
Grove who are deceased. He was united in marriage to Mae Fuller.
Surviving are a son, Leslie Grove, of Wells county; a daughter, Mrs. Victo Dewalt, of
Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. William Kindlesparger, of Bluffton, and Mrs. Stella
Markley, of Keystone; and two brothers, Fred Grove, of Bluffton, and Augusta Grove, of
Nowata, Okla. A granddaughter, Marlan Sue Dewalt, also survives.
Mr. Grove was a carpenter and a life-long resident of Wells county.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Thoma funeral chapel in charge of
Rev. Evert Baker. Burial will be in the Grove cemetery.
