Ill for the past five months due to carcinoma, Mrs. Paul (Flossie) Oman, 73, of Poneto
Route 1 died at 5:30 a.m. today at Clinic Hospital.
Born Aug. 6, 1899 in Wells County, she was a daughter of Horatio S. and Rachel Roberts
Grove. Her marriage to Mr. Oman, who died last Aug. 18, took place in 1918 at Hillsdale,
Mich.
A life resident of the county, she was a member of Poneto United Methodist Church, its
WSCS and the Better Homes and Gardens Club.
Surviving are three sons, Wendell of Bluffton, James of Poneto Route 1 and Robert of
Carrizo Springs, Tex.; a daughter, Mrs. John H. (Evelyn) Lewis of Muncie, and 11
grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday at McBride Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Poneto United Methodist Church with Rev.
Richard Campton and Rev. Tillman Nussbaum officiating. Burial will be in the Grove
Cemetery, near Poneto.
