Mrs. Helen DeWitt Falk, 94, widow of John Falk, who died Jan. 21, 1929 succumbed of a
cerebral hemorrhage at 11 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
William Bolton, 1406 East Lewis street, Fort Wayne. Mrs. Falk had been ill three months.
She was born in New York state, Feb. 23, 1837, a daughter of Moses DeWitt and Mrs. Sally
Westbrook DeWitt, her marriage to Mr. Falk taking place at Bluffton Oct. 29, 1860.
Two sons and two daughters who survive are Mrs. Bolton; David Falk, Mrs. Charles Aker and
Eddie Falk, all three of Bluffton.
Mrs. Falk was the last of a family of eight, the others having been Worthy DeWitt, Frank
DeWitt, Hiram DeWitt, Mrs. Ellen Gardner, Mrs. William Stahl, Mrs. Cal Bennett and Fannie
DeWitt.
Mrs. Falk who had been at her daughter's home in Fort Wayne since January came to this
county with her parents in 1840 when she was only seven years old.
The body will be brought Tuesday noon to the Thoma funeral home, where services will be
conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Burial will be at Fairview.
