Mrs. Ola Odelia Holley, 65, widow of Floyd A. Holley, died about 3 a.m. Sunday. Death was
attributed to a heart attack.
Mrs. Holley, who resided at 808 South Main St., was staying with Mrs. Anna Ludwig, 204
East Cherry St., who had attempted unsuccessfully to awaken her during the night. A doctor
summoned to the home pronounced her dead.
A native of Clear Creek Twp., Huntington County, she was born Dec. 9, 1899, a daughter of
Allison and Lillie Crosser Melling. Her marriage to Floyd Holley, who died in 1945, took
place in Huntington Jan. 28, 1925.
Mrs. Holley had resided in Huntington until moving to Bluffton eight years ago.
Surviving are three sons, Floyd R. Holley of Long Island, N. Y., Roy Holley of Bluffton
and Raymond Holley of Huntington; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles Denton of Huntington;
four brothers, John Melling of Rockford, Ill., Kenneth Melling of Jackson, Mich., Russell
Melling of Akron, O., and Ora Melling of Liberty Center; two sisters, Mrs. Avis Flower of
Akron, O., and Mrs. Hazel Mason of Markle Route 1, and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Goodwin Funeral Home, where services will be
held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington County.
