Mr. and Mrs. Homer Mills entertained at a dinner at their home Sunday, in honor of the
13th birthday anniversary of their daughter, Mary Alice. A beautiful birthday cake was
baked by Mildred Hedges decorated with 13 candles. Those who enjoyed the day in the Mills
home were: Mr. and Mrs. Sylevster (sic) Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Lesh and daughter
Elizabeth, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hedges and daughters, Ida, Alice and Josephine, Mrs. Ethel
Davis and children, Maxine, Louis and Mary, Mr. and Mrs. George Farling and son Earlen and
daughter Luclie, William Young, of Bluffton, Mrs. Mary Farling, Samuel, Ben and Jessie
Farling and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Mills and daughter, Mary Alice, and sons Harry, Robert,
Wayne and Roscoe.
Mr. and Mrs. James Duff and daughter, Faye, and sons, Russell, Marcus and Raymond were
visitors in the Gifford Newman home in Bluffton, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. George Rice, of Yoder, were guests in the Glen Fisher home, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lemon Haflich and daughters, Marcella and Madeline, spent the week-end in the
A. A. Powell home in Huntington.
Mrs. Jane Haflich moved to the Mrs. Nannie Lamb property, Tuesday.
Harry Taylor, who is employed in Ohio, recently visited with his family here. Mr. and
Mrs. B. F. Taylor also were guests.
Bernice Griffin assisted in the Mangas (sp?) restaurant, Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ora Miller and sons, Byrl, Garth and Carl were guests Sunday in the Dessie
Raber home.
Mr. and Mrs. Alta Brickley, of Fort Wayne, spent the week-end in the Jake Haflich home.
A farewell party was given by class No. 6 of the Methodist Sunday school Monday night for
Mr. and Mrs. John Young, who will soon leave for Markle.
Herma Kain assisted in the Clover Leaf cream station while Mrs. Iva Griffin moved.
Mrs. Nannie Lamb left Thursday for Wann, Okla., where she will spend the winter.
The Methodist Ladies' Aid society will meet with Mrs. Roy Eastes Friday night.
William Shadle and family are entertaining the former's mother this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Decker and daughters, Dorothy, Alice and Opal spent Sunday in the Homer
Platt home in Fort Wayne.
Mr. and Mrs. James Byrd and George Byrd, of near Zanesville, spent Monday in the William
Shadle home.
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Haflich spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Haflich in Fort Wayne.
