I have been trying to find out when Robert and Mary Ann (Stout)McConnell died and where they are buried:
First land claimants in
Jefferson Township
28 North, Ranges 12 East & part of 13 East
McConnel, R. Section8,twp28N,RANGE:12E,MERIDIAN2ndPM,county:wells.
I believe they were still living on Section 8 on the 1870 census. In 1880 Mary Ann McConnell is a widow living in Ossian, Wells county, IN.
I have a map of Jefferson twp and It looks like section 8 is near the NW corner. The old map shows a "Bethel CH" on the NW corner of section 8.
I am looking at a satelite photo of that corner, and there is a small building in the corner that looks like a church.
The rest of that corner looks like it is still a farm. Does anyone know if there is a church at the corner of: E1100N and N100E?

Most of what I have has come from Barry Cotton's post in past years. I am a great great grandughter of Lucy & Hiram Osborn, being named after my grandmother Lucy Osborn, who was named after her grandmother Lucy Jane Cotton Osborn. Her father's name was William Wallace Osborn. What is your connection? The Cotton History goes back to Rev. John Cotton-Boston. It is my belief from the records I have found that Hiram's father was John Osborn(e). I have all of this at home. I'm out of town right now, or I could send it to you.

Hello Connie and Peggy,
Connie...you HAVE helped me before.....I have been off in other things
lately.
Peggy....I did get your email and have just had so many other things on the
burners that I have not gotten back to you. Yes, I would love whatever you
have to share as I am always interested. This is my daughter-in-law's line
and I have worked on it some but not for a long while. I can share what I
have......probably a LOT from Connie:)

Hello Peggy,
I have done a little research on my daughter-in-law's ancestry which does have Haflich in Rock Creek Twp.
Her ancestress was Mary Haflich/Haflech daughter of Philip Haflech and Hannah Shadle
Mary was born 1814 in Pennsylvania and died 1951 in Wells County...she had brothers Isaac, Samuel and Jacob
that I know of.

Do you have access to ancestry.com? If not, I'd be happy to look up some
names for you.
