Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fishbaugh entertained the following guests Sunday at a delicious informal dinner in honor of their son Vaugh, who on Saturday was united in marriage to Miss Edna Thomas, of Markle: Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Fishbaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Thomas and daughter, Mildred, Mr. and Mrs. Faye Thomas, daughters Ester and Helen, Vaughn and Keith Thomas, Guy Haflich, Zola Meyers, Mrs. Sarah Griffin, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Fishbaugh, children John, Leslie and Frieda. The couple will live on the Fishbaugh farm. A shower will be given for them at the Fishbaugh home Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schuck, of Huntington, and Mr. and Mrs. Eli Haflich, of near Bluffton, and Charles Haflich and wife spent Friday in the William Alfred Haflich home, west of town.
A music recital and watch meeting was held at the M. E. church Friday night. A line program was rendered. For about two hours the orchestra displayed some very fine talent, receiving enthusiastic appreciation. Selections were rendered by the ladies' chorus, the men's chorus and some congregational singing. Little Edith Hoffacher gave a reading, Evylin McAfee sang a solo and Miss Chopson whistled to her own piano solo. Margaret Kain also sang a solo. A very interesting spelling contest was staged, using Bible names. Just before the last half hour of the old year refreshments were served. The collection was taken for the benefit of the orchestra.
The Rev. Jessie Bogue (Hogue?), area secretary of Indiana, will show stereopticon pictures of the great work done by the church all over the world. The pictures will be shown at the M. E. church Thursday night, January 6.
Revival meetings will begin at the M. E. church Sunday night, January 9.

The funeral of Will Hite was held Thursday afternoon. Short services were held at the house before going to the church at Markle. Burial was made at Markle.
Rev. Br. Runner (Bunner?) returned home Thursday from Wabash, where he attended an Epworth league convention.
Mr. and Mrs. T. V. Harsh and children are visiting with Mr. Harsh's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Harsh.
Dr. and Mrs. B. W. Harris have returned home from Kokomo, where they visited with the doctor's parents. The elder Mr. Harris has been ill.
Ed Robinson has returned home from Richmond.
Nellie Haflich spent the week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Haflich, at this place. Miss Dorothy Griffin is making an extended visit in Ohio.
Mrs. John Haflich is quite ill with rheumatism.
