I have a document on line that may shed some light on my ancestor. Would you mind taking a look at it. I can't really tell what it means. It is a CW document. I do know now that he survived until July 27th, 1908. He died in Banner City, is buried in St. Pauls Cemetery, Wells County, IN. He was born 22 Oct 1829 in Berks or Schyulkill Co. PA. Married Caroline Schwartz b. 1831, PA. The link I hope you'll look at is at: http://www.geocities.com/capexguy/index1.htm William Rehrer is furthest on the right.

Jacob was still in Wells Co. at his time of death April 16, 1933. They are buried in Oak Lawn Cemetary in Ossian. I have a digital photo of the grave marker. The Ruby line has been a mystery to us. This would be exciting if it is a match. Feel free to email me. You are welcome to anything we have.

Ralph;
You HAVE helped me!
Ezekiel's second wife, Mary Chaney, was listed as from Ohio on the 1880 census. You've given me Boston, Summit County.
Nathaniel Tewksbury died in Montpelier, Ind. Ezekiel Woodward received his Civil War pension at Montpelier, Ind.
You've given me Hannah's grave location. We knew Little's Pond was where they lived, but we thought it was the Little's Pond near Webster, NH.
You've given me the location of John' grave.
I will have to do more research on Blackford County, Ind. I live in Bloomington, IL, so it's a good day's trip plus research time. As soon as the weather milds up I'm off.
The only thing that is keeping us from absolutely connecting these families is John King Woodward's county history sketch. He was the son of Kimball and Nancy(Tewksbury) Woodward and brother to Ezekiel. Why would he say his grandfather lived to 104? It has to be the Tewksbury grandfather he is referring to, because we are pretty sure the Woodward grandfather died quite young.
By the way. We have one reference to Nancy as Nancy Russell Tewksbury. Do you know how the Russell fits in?

I can't add much to the information that you have unfortunately. My ancestor Daniel Tewksbury b: 4 May 1782 moved to Boston, Summit Co., OH with his married children abt 1834. Daniel's sons Daniel & Elijah, my ancestor, lived in Boston as did Nathaniel according to the 1840 census. In 1837 while still living in Boston Nathaniel bought land in Chester, Wells Co., IN; he then moved to Chester in 1841. He died in Montpelier, Blackford Co. in 1878. It would be interesting to find out what the attraction was to Blackford Co. in the late 1830's & early 1840's, especially to the Tewksburys from NH.
I'm sorry that I can't help. I have several Nancy Tewksburys in my database but not the one you need evidentially. I don't have any children of Hannah French and John Tewksbury in my database, although I can show you Hannah's grave. John's grave is in a different cemetery, Vittum Hill cemetery in Tamowrth NH, I believe.

Ralph;
Thanks so much for answering. My cousin (very distant) in NH and I, are on the track of the Tewksburys who married into our Woodwards. There are so many coincidences that we feel these families must have gone together to Wells County, Indiana and then to Grant and Blackford counties and then on to the Benton Harbor-Hartford areas in Michigan.
The farthest back we can go is Kimball Woodward and Nancy Tewksbury. Their first child (that we know of) is my gr-gr-grandfather, Ezekiel T.(Tewksbury?) Woodward, who was born May 28, 1827 in Salisbury, Merrimack County, NH. Kimball and Nancy had 8 children we know of. Two were born in Boscawen, NH, so the family moved around a bit.
In a county history sketch of one of Kimball's sons, he says that his grandfather Tewksbury lived to 104. That is the problem we are having matching him up to John Tewksbury. He only lived to about 75 or so.
Another record of one of Kimball's children says the grandparents were John and Hannah (French) Tewksbury.
Can you clear any of this up for us?
