Hannah Ann Rohr married Lloyd Harlow in Harrison Township in Wells Co. We
have family tradition which says she raised the younger children of her
cousin Martha (Ellis) Harvey when John Harvey died. The children were John
Ellis, Elizabeth, and Frank John Harvey. If anyone has any information on
these folks, please let me know.
Thanks and Happy New Year!!

Hello, My name is Richard Meredith and I am researching the MEREDITH surname
in Wells County. My grandfather was a 1913 graduate of Bluffton HS and thanks
to the Wells County website I have some record of his existence. That's where
I hit the wall, however. I will keep trying to find a birth certificate for
him (b.3 MAR 1895). Maybe 1999 will be my lucky year. Happy New Year to all.

Hello List, and a Happy New Year to you.
I am searching for the Indiana roots of my great grandfather, Jacob
DURR, and family. According to Yakima Co. WA 1880 census he came from
Indiana in 1879. We believe he came from Wells County. He brought his
wife, Elizabeth (WITT or HAHN) and a daughter Bertha (b.5 May 1876)and a
son Charles (b. 6 Dec 1878). The children may have been born in St.
Francisville, Polaski Co. IN. Jacob DURR was born about 1848 in
Mecklinburg, Germany and probably came to US as a small boy.
The WN census indicates they were accompanied from Indiana by a Jacob
STONE (21 yrs old) and Fredrich HAHN (23 yrs old). These two
individuals lived in the household for several years. Fredrich HAHN was
also from Mecklinburg Germany.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Bud Engelhardt
