I've "rescued" two photographs belonging to the CAVANAUGH Family of
Indiana.
The first is a photograph of Tom CAVANAUGH which was taken at the Mobley
Studio in Salem, IN. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's
or early 1900's with Tom in his 20's at the time. The second photograph is
identified as Page CAVANAUGH though there is no studio or location
indicated, it was probably taken in the early 1900's with Page likely about
6 years old. Page is a boy in this case. Based on limited research I was
able to locate the following information regarding this family:
Thomas Michael CAVANAUGH was b. 18 Nov 1878 in Washington Co., IN to parents
James M. CAVANAUGH (1840-1897) and Lucy Bridget REYNOLDS (1839-1916) who
were married 4 Oct 1866 in Washington Co., IN. The couple had 5 children
including, Edward; Anna C.; Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie"; Thomas Michael; and
Robert Emmett CAVANAUGH all born between 1868 and 1881. Thomas married Ruth
Virginia ROBERTS (1891-1979) and they had a daughter, Helen Beatrice
CAVANAUGH (1916-1960). Thomas died 12 Jan 1952 in Washington Co., IN and is
buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, IN.
Thomas Page or Paige or Page or Paige Thomas CAVANAUGH was b. 4 Jan 1898 in
Millport, IN to parents Edward CAVANAUGH (1868-1940 or 1947) and Lula May
DORSEY (1876-1903) who were married 14 Oct 1894 in Salem, IN. The couple
had four children, Lois Wilma; Jessie; Thomas Page; and Elsa or Elsie
CAVANAUGH all born between 1895 and 1900. After Lula died Edward remarried
Ida MEAD (1870-1961) and they had one more son, Harry Edward CAVANAUGH
(1912-1969). Page married Edna I. CUNNISON (1901-1990) and he died 20 Dec
1900 in Orange, CA.
I'm hoping to locate someone from this CAVANAUGH Family so that the
photographs can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this
family, or you know someone from this family please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
