I've "rescued" an old photograph of Mable MITCHELL ETZLER. There is no
studio or location indicated on the photograph though it appears to have
been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Mable appearing to be in her
teens or 20's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was
able to locate the following information regarding Mable and her family:
Eva Mable MITCHELL was b. 27 Apr 1889 in Canton, IN to parents James
Jefferson MITCHELL (1849-1918) and Sarah Emaline CRIM (1856-1942) who were
married 18 Sept 1878. Eva Mable or Mabel was one of 9 children born to this
couple including, Pearl; Claude Augustus; Kathryn Lenora; Fred Crim; Lee
Weir; Eva Mabel; Lawrence DeVoe; and Ralph Waldo Emerson; and James Russell
Sweeny MITCHELL, all born between 1879 and 1897. Eva Mable married Ernest
E. ETZLER (1884-1961) on 9 Jun 1909 in Salem, IN and together they had a
daughter, Marguerite ETZLER b. 1910. Eva Mabel died 28 Apr 1912 in San
Francisco, CA and is buried in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, IN.
I am hoping to locate someone from her family so that the photograph can be
returned to their care. If you are a member of this family or you know
someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
