Patsy, I believe I received this in error. I am Betsy Sutton, not Betsy Emhuff.

Subject: Re: [Washington Co IN] Looking For Information
Hello Betsy,I have been doing genealogy for a while so I have some questions for you
andmaybe they will help.First, is this information from Ancestry? it usually lists a
minimum of information.I would suggest you find a copy of the censuses that you have
quoted to seewhat more information there is about George in it- for example, who is
living with him ( yes beside Nancy); starting with 1850 census ,an occupation is listed
for the enumerated person — and there is no 1890 censusso that doesn’t help.Who are the
neighbors listed above and below him in the census? Do theyremain the same? Was Nancy a
neighbor family before they married?- why do you think George died after 1880? Did you
check county death indexes?Go backward and see how much information you find on Patrick
Martin. How close to Washington Co is Clark County? If you use the theoretic 1830 as birth
date - does his age come out correctly inthe following census??Where was Nancy born??Many
counties in Indiana have death records, by date or by family surname.Maybe an index to
cemeteries in Polk Township? This ought to keep you busy for a while. No one told you
genealogy was goingto be easy - but sometimes the family member we have to work hardest
toidentify is the one we become most attached to.Good luck- please let me know how this
comes out.Patsy Brock> On Dec 26, 2015, at 9:25 PM, Betsy Emhuff via
