Herman,
I have wondered who the Nancy SAPP was, who married Perry BOYS in
1844. Any ideas?

George, I picked up your e-mail address from your family tree maker's site.
I have a "Nancy Sapp" in my family I just can't seem to place, tho the
Sapp's of Clermont County are the best bet.
Nancy Sapp married Perry C. Boys in Clermont County, OH in 1844. They
followed the Sapp's into Effingham and Fayette Counties of IL, and raised a
family of nine children. Perry served for IL, and died during the Civil
War.
Nancy always spelled hers, and the children's names "Boyce", tho their
marriage record, census records, and the pension file all spell Perry's name
as Boys.
I have her bible, which lists the birth's of all their children. However, I
have only the descendents of their son Perry Darlington Boyce.
Unfortunately, she did not leave us a trace of her own parentage. I have
found that Perry's parents were William Boys and Rebecca Boring.
With Nancy Sapp such a common name with the Sapps, I know this is hard to
place. Keeping my fingers crossed! Roxann Balmer of Portland, Oregon.
