Bev Weddell has been so kind to find the obit on Miss Daisy May Weddell (name Weddle on
census reports)
Daisy May Weddell
b. 29 July 1890
d. 18 Dec. 1910, age 20
died St. Joseph's Hosp. Louisville, Ky.
Remains brought back to Brownstown, Jackson Co., In for funeral at Holiness Church,
services conducted by Rev. Shirley.
Remains taken to Salem, Washington County, In for burial.
I need to know the cemetery she is buried in.
Her entire family is traced in Jackson county, IN from the early 1800s to early 1900s in
Jackson county. Her paternal ( Weddle) grandparents are buried in Carr Twp. in Jackson
County. I cannot locate the burial place of Daisy's parents anywhere near her family
in Jackson county.
There is no explanation as to why she is in Salem, Washington Co., IN. No one lived there
that is known.
Now that I have learned Daisy is buried somewhere in Salem,Washington County, that may be
the clue as to where her parents are also buried.
Her parents are Benjamin K. (Kox) Weddle (Weddell) and Mary Ann Utterback Weddle
(Weddell)
Benjamin b. abt 1848
Mary Ann b. abt 1853
They both died in the late 1920s or early 1930s
Both were born in Indiana
Both died in Indiana.
Thanks for any help,
Theresa
