By the way....I do not know who has possession of the family bible. When Larry Allan died, it was my understanding that all of his genealogy research would be donated to the Iowa Genealogy Society. That is not the case, though they are in possession of some research.
The following is extracted from the "Hawkeye Heritage" a publication of the Iowa Genealogical Society in Des Moines. This was published in Summer 1996. It was submitted by Larry Allan, who was a well known researcher of these families.
His submission was several pages long.
I will transcribe it a little at a time. Abrreviations & spelling are as they were in the publication.

Message Board Post:
Hi, great to hear from you. We believe ourselves to be descended from Jeduthan's oldest son, Loomis Gray, who died in 1846 I think (don't have my notes here). We have a copy of a letter from Jeduthan's sister to someone we don't know, but looks to be a relative in New York from where they moved and she mentioned Loomis' death, but nothing about where or anything about his widow or children. But Jeduthan listed Loomis' children in his will (he died not long after Loomis).
We have made several trips to Salem area and my aunt has found another Gray descendant living on part of the original farm land. But we haven't seen any photos or portraits of Jeduthan, his wives, their children, and we'd love to know more information about Jeduthan than we've found in M.D. Raymond's book and Washington Co. Historical Society records in Indiana.
Do let me know what you might have. I can make a copy of Jeduthan's will and Elizabeth's letter if you don't have those already.
