Dale, I do have more info. Eunice and James McKinney removed to Sullivan Co. In. and are buried in a local cem. I show at least 6 ch. born to this marriage with many of the relatives still in area. Per the marr. of Alex and May (polly) Orchard...she was born in Bourbon Co. Ky. and died Macon Co. Il. no further info
Of the Jane Orchard-John McKinney marr. I just show that Jane was born August 1825 and per the will of Isaac was deceased by 1842
Let me know what you need and I will try. However, it took alot of info/computer hours/traveling for me to determine that at this point...back to Issac....that my Orchards are not related. to Issac however, they always appear to be side by side in Kentucky, Ind. Il. and Mo. The name of Issac never crosses over into my James/John branches from the mid 1700's thru the 1900's Almost all of Issac's ch. had an Isaac and this appears to continue thru the linage.

Treva,
I am tracking backward a David Nagel/Nale b. March 15, 1782 or 1777 in Shenandoah County, VA. He (and his sister Mary) are listed as orphans of George NAGLE in 1787 and 1788 in the Minute Court Records. If my research is right David m. Christina RIFE in 08-03-1802 and Mary m. Henry(Frank) ANTHONY in 07-11-1797. David m. Mary EGGLESTON 06-01-1820 (she was 18 and he was 43. They show 3 boys and 3 girls in the 1820 census (my research shows the boys were George b. 1804, David b. 1812 and Jacob b. 1815 and the girls were Christina b. 1815, Melvina? and ?). George was born in VA and David, Jacob and Christina were born in TN. George m. Mary Ann BOLTON 07-14-1827, David m. Rachel ANDREWS 10-04-1835, I think Jacob m. Elizabeth JONES 03-28-1839 and Christina m. John CAIN 08-03-1832.
Some of the above marriages and children names are based on proximity in various census so I do not have proof positive. Would love to see will for David Nale?
With all of the above said I am not from this direct line. I am trying to connect a George Nagel b. PA 1755 to 1765 who moved to Lincoln County, NC in the late 1780's (based on purchase of land there in 1789). I have scoured PA Archives to no avail. Am now chasing naming patterns (his boys in order are: David, Henry, Jacob (mine), William John and Andrew). I have a David Nagel/Nail in Frederick/Washington County, MD in 1776 (MD Militia) and 1778 Fidelity Oath. I Have a David and Johan Nikolas Nagel/Nagle immigrating thru Phil. in 1738. I believe the David and Nickolas were brothers who left PA and settled in MD and VA

I have used the subject school enumeration from Harrison County. Can someone tell me if there is a similar accounting for Washington County? I am seeking families I thought were in Harrison County but I could be mistaken and they were really in Washington County.

Christina is the daughter of David NAGEL/NAGLE/NALE and Christina RIFE of Shenandoah County, VA married 1802. David is son of George NAGEL (orphaned in Shenandoah County, VA in 1787+/- at about age 6 or 10?). Christina died between about 1815 and 1820 as David married a Mary EGGLESTON in 1820 in Washington County, IN. I believe Christina and Regana were sisters; Christina and her brother Jacob (at least) were born in Eastern TN

If this is the David NAGEL/ NAGLE/ NAUGLE/NAIL/NALE that was born in VA in about 1777 then I may have some clues. There was a David (and Mary) NAGLE listed in the 1788 (1787)orphan's list. He was orphan of George NAGLE. If I am not mistaken David married Christina RIFE in 1802 and had George in VA in 1804. He then remarried Mary EGGLESTON in Washingto County, IN in 1820. His daughter Christinah and a son Jacob were born in Eastern Tennessee. there were other kids including a son David prior to his arrival in IN. Look in Washington County, IN marriage records and census for birth info.
Hope this helps.

I am related to Micah Burns and Frances Robertson, they are my 4th great grandparents. Please e-mail and lets see how we are related.
I am trying to research Micah Burns military service for War of 1812. I tried joining the DAR through Edward Burns, his father, but they said that unless I can prove he resided in CT...I can't go through that line.
