Hi to list,
Seeking information on the following family:
Sarah Ellen CROTTS. b. 1857 in Martinsburg, IN. m. June 27,1874 to Frank Marion RUSSELL in Washington County, Indiana.
d. Dec.12,1916 in Crawford County, IN
I am seeking her family. Her mother was Polley (Polly) CROTTS. She signed giving her permission for the marriage of Sarah to Frank RUSSELL - so, I assume that the father may have been dead by 1874. I have unvarified info that he was killed in the civil war.
That's all I have on the CROTTS family at this point - any information would be greatly appreciated.
Sarah CROTTS RUSSELL and Frank RUSSELL are my gg- grandparents
Thanks,
Neil E. Kenyon

Lourinda HOSEA b. 1819 in Indiana married Charles Y. WHEELER in Washington Co., IN on Feb. 16, 1851. She may have been married once before. I'm interested in any info on her parents, siblings and, possibly, another husband. I have additional info on Charles Wheeler and the three children (that I'm aware of) that she had with him and am most willing to share. She died May 16, 1894 possibly in Caldwell Co., MO.
Many thanks.
Happily in Christ,

PRESS RELEASE
On Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at 7:00 P. M., David Kent Coy will give a presentation to the Local History Club - Decatur, Illinois & Environs. This program will be held in the A. E. Staley Conference Room of the Decatur Public Library. Mr. Coy will discuss his recent work, "The Boy Preacher, Another Biography of Joseph Hostetler (1797-1870.)"
Elder Joseph Hostetler, starting at an early age, was involved in the conversions to Christianity of literally thousands of people in Kentucky, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. He was one of the pioneer leaders in what is now known as the Restoration or "No creed - Bible only" movement that led to the current Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and related churches. He founded the Christian Churches in Decatur and Lovington to name a few. On top of that, he was an early pioneer doctor, following the Thomson (NOT Thompson) ideas of healing.
Coy will also discuss a project to replace the deteriorated tombstone of this early pioneer preacher and doctor in the Keller Cemetery, just south of Lovington, Illinois. David Kent Coy is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, a long-time social worker, Past President of the Illinois State Genealogical Society, and author of "Recollections of Abraham Lincoln in Coles County, Illinois."
The public is invited to attend.
