Sandy,
I went to
http://mapserver.maptech.com/homepage/index.cfm, my
favorite topo map source.
I went to Independence, IN, then found & followed the followed the
several Kickapoo Creek branches, south.
I found two nearby cemeteries -- identified as Bethel Cemany the
Quaker Cem. There is another 'Cem', unnamed, overlooking the
Kickapoo Creek.
In Warren Twp # 29, east of Independence, east of Glen Cliff, there
is a road that goes north toward Winthrop. Heading north, just after
crossing Kickapoo Creek, there is a long road that goes off NE to a
farm. However, on the rise, NNE of the junction, is a 'Cem' --
unnamed. That's the only unnamed map symbol for Cem I found in the
Kickapoo drainage area; there were no 3-tight-dots to show an
abandoned cem, either.
If you're sure that this was closer-in to Independence, this is still
a great resource to click & dbl-click your way around.
