Dear Deah and Sharon: If you have things that do not pertain to your own
family, but you have saved them, why not post some of the names the material
contains. Can't ever tell, someone might be looking for that very family.
Just a thought. Donavene from Kansas

Sharon,
You know this does say quite a lot, and really is sad, even though it's
likely not true. The concept behind it however is too often true.
I have beside me an old scrapbook filled with many long hours of work
and
love. I picked it up at a garage sale, and after reading this post, I had
to
wonder if perhaps it came to be lying there on that table, the same way
those things did in the story.
It has greeting cards and postcards from back as far as the 1930's at
least. Love notes from a wife to her husband during WWII. Tiny pictures of
her face glued to some of the cards. When I saw it, tears welled up in my
eyes. I had to bring it home.
Yes, the list is a little quiet, so I don't mind a bit you posting that
story. It's a grim reminder of what may be lost were it not for the folks
like those on this list.
Best Wishes,
Deah
