Hi Harve:
There was a Sam Wolf who lived around Pasadena in the 60's & 70's, he
worked at the Naval Ordnance Test Station, Pasadena Annex and transferred
to San Diego when they closed the Pasadena facillity. He retired in the
80's and returned to the Pasadena area. I've only seen him a couple of
times since his retirement.
He had a son Winn (not sure about the spelling), who was a very good hair
dresser with a shop in a little town in the hills just North of Monrovia
and South of Pasadena. I can't remember the name, and it is not on the
California Map.
Thats the best I can do. Lots of luck with your search in Warren, I had a
grandfather EDWARD ARTHUR HODGE born their in 1875 along with 4 brothers
and a sister, beginning in 1860. I haven't been able to fine out a thing on
them.

Hi List, I am new to this list and am looking for any information on the
WOLFE line in particular. I was given a bible that had been presented to a
great aunt in 1873. Her name was Margaret Ann WOLF (also went by Lany &
Magdalena). She was 13 when this bible was presented by her Sunday School
teacher, Will J. Evans. She disappears from family records, history, census,
etc. after that. One of 10 children of Iraneous Wolf and Margaret Switzer. My
grandfather, Charles Wesley was born in Warren Co., Praire Twp. in 1868. Any
leads on this family and Lany in particular would be deeply appreciated.
