Most likely the other name for the bride was one of her previous marriages
"name". I have found that to be true in other states listings.

Check again the Vigo County Marriage Record website as there are several
listings for John W. McCarty. The 1905 Marriage Record is listed twice -
each with a different last name for his bride and her first name spelled
differently. However, one of those records consists of 3 pages and
indicates that John W. McCarty, age 68, physician, was born in Ohio. His
father is listed as Daniel and his mother as Mary Ann Pettel (sp?). For his
number of marriages, it says "4." For bride's number of marriages, it
says
"3." I imagine you could use the library website to see if last name of
bride - MOORE or COX would give you clues about prior marriages for her.
As a helpful tip, I only type in LAST NAME of either groom or bride (don't
type in both last names) and let the website pull up a total listing.
It's a great website for information but sometimes not totally accurate
from an original standpoint or through later transcription. I'll contact
the Vigo County Library "Special Collections" Dept. and bring this
particular Marriage Record to their attention and maybe they'll combine the
two records under one listing??? But since the bride is shown with two
different last names, don't know if they'll put under only one name or just
what.....confusing.
Wish I knew of other library websites for my ancestors that contained the
actual Marriage Records.
