Dear Friend
Just a few lines to let you now I am still in the land of living and I now you will be
suprise to get this little letter from me I often though so much of you and wandered where
you were I saw your brotherlas Joe Launbot and he gave me your address. I braught it home
and I mistplaced it so I found it yesterday and I am writing you this little note I hope
it will find you and your family all well, I have not been well for a long time all ore
Children are all married I have a boy and two girls. and I have nine grandchildren.
Charlie was sick for about two years but he is feeling better now and is getting fat ho ho
I want you to answer this as soon as you can I clase with Love and kisses your old

NOTE: This letter is written to my grandmother, Augusta Julia Kalanquin Bird of Sandford,
IN (Vigo County). The brother-in-law was Joseph Lambotte/Lambert, born in Belgium and
living in 1944 in the West Terre Haute, IN area who was married to Augusta's sister
Maria/Mary Kalanquin White Lambert. Augusta's husband was Benjamim Bird and their
children were Leona (1900-1912), Selena (1902-1904), Loretta (1906-@1969), Clarence
"Birdie"(1908-@1977),Alice Anne' (1913-2009), Bennie (1915-1986) and Augusta
(1917-@2004).
