"Terre Haute" is the correct spelling of the name of our town.
Birth announcements were rarely put in papers at that time, unless the
parents were very important people--and usually not even then. Same
with obits.
There is a book in the Vigo County Public Library of early Vigo
marriages. It gives only the name of the bride and groom and the
person who married them in some cases. Have you asked for help from
the people in Special Collections in the library? I believe I looked
in that marriage book for such a couple once and did not find them--
back when you first started posting about this--but I could be wrong.
I'm ill and can't do it now.

I am wondering if it would be possible for someone in the Terra

area to give a look

for her birth or an announcement thereof?
Possibly may give her mothers' name.
Thanks so much in advance.
