Message Board Post:
I have several ancestors buried in Woodlawn Cemetary in the late 1890's at
least, till the early 19teens at least. There is one ancestor I have been
trying to get a maiden name on for over 30 years, my great grandmother. I
have tons of info on her, but none have a maiden name so I'm at a dead
(pardon the pun) stop on this one family line. Would Woodlawn have maiden
names of the deceased? Her name was: Mary A Soden born in Indiana, wife of
James Soden. DOD is: Feb 14, 1899 in Chicago Ill. There may have been a
family plot for the Sodens. Her in-laws were also James and Mary Soden
both buried at Woodlawn. Does anyone know what kind of records were kept?
I'm at a loss. Heck, I've even done DNA. Thanks.
