I don't know of a connection to an Isaac in IL but mine goes back to more the Rev War
area. I do have a couple of Isaac Perkins's in Surry Co., NC that I haven't
connected to my Perkins in VA. I have an Isaac, b ca 1811 in Surry Co., NC, d ca 1893 and
married to Sarah Bray, b ca 1827. Also Isaac married to Mary Ledbetter who had a son,
Tom, b ca 1840 in Surry Co., NC and married to Mary Bray, b ca 1844, d 26 Dec 1917. Mary
Bray was daughter of Artha Bray (Jr?), b ca 1800 and d bef 1850. Her mother was Mary
Whitaker, b ca 1804 and d bef 1870. They had five kids but none named Isaac. I have a
small book called Perkins Families in the United States in 1790. Book compiled by D. W.
Perkins, Utica, N.Y., 1911. This book was reprinted by Higginson Book Company of Salem,
MA.

Is your Isaac related to Isaac Perkins who was a Confederate Veteran from
GA who settled over in Jasper Co., IL around 1870? My Aunt was descended
from him thru Lawrence Fred Perkins of Terre Haute.
