Subject: Re: [InVigo] Joshua Winder and Eliza Glass
Elizabeth Tennis Burnett (Barnett) Winters (Winders) and Joshua Winters
(Winders) are my great great grandparents. Their daughter, Emma Winters,
is my
great grandmother.
Elizabeth and Joshua are buried at Shephard's Cemetery in Shepherdsville,
Vigo County, Indiana. Although I paid a visit to the cemetery in June, I
did
not find their tombstones. Since I was a guest of someone living in the
area
and the visit to the cemetery wasn't my purpose of being in the area, I
didn't
have much time to really look.
Another family member has said Elizabeth's tombstone reads "Elizabeth
Winders". This is also the spelling used for her surname on her death
certificate.
This is a branch of my tree I've done just a little research on.
Elizabeth's maiden name wasn't something I could find in any records. From
her death
certificate, the spelling is "Termas". Ironically only yesterday did I
find
it was "Tennis". I was in hog heaven after making this discovery.
Then today I see your message posted to the INVigo list which I only
resubscribed to yesterday. Coincidence?? I don't really think so. <big
smile>
