Madolin,
Yes, there is a marker -
Marinda, dau of M & G 20 yrs 10 m 20 d Nov. 20, 1874
This would put her birth in the year 1854.
There is also a Gosnell couple buried there. They are
Andrew Gosnell died Nov. 20, 1896 age 61 years 2m 5d and
wife Rebecca (Reese) Gosnell died May 1, 1921.
My wife is descended from a John M. Reese who was Rebecca's father.
There is no indication of a burial for M & G (doesn't quite match your
description). Cemetery record book says "There is a large concrete blocked off
area, a seat.... no names or dates but GOSNELL".
Can tell you more about Andrew and Rebecca. Otherwise, this is all
I know about Marinda.
Jay
Jay,
I am a gggrandaughter of Philinda Gosnell Snack. Philinda had a twin sister
Marinda. I have not found much information on them. I do have a death
certificate for Philinda that states her father as M. Gosnell and mother as
P. Gosnell (that wasn't much help to me).
I do not know her parents. Philinda B: Jan 1, 1850 and D: June 9, 1906. My
mother's cousin told me that we had family in that Pisgah Cemetery. We must
be some kind of kin. I am very eager to hear from you to see if we can make
some connection. I haven't searched diligently for my Gosnell roots, as I am
foolishly searching every surname that I run across.
Sincerely,
Madolin Sparks
