Diane, obtaining an obituary from the Tribune Star is easily accomplished by
contacting the Vigo County Public Library.
Just remember, sometimes there was more than one obituary for a person,
perhaps listed on 2 or 3 successive days. Terre Haute for many years had
two newspapers, the Tribune and the Star. I don't know if that was true in
1922, but it is possible obits were in BOTH if both existed in 1922.
However, usually it was just slightly reworded from the morning to the
evening newspaper. The library's obituary index lists the FIRST date an
obit was in the paper, but there could have been more than one printing of
an obit, and additional info sometimes was added, such as place of burial in
a second or third obit.
