Carol -
I found a few of your obits, didn't have enough time at the library to check all of
them. I could not find Elmer R. Weil's obituary in the edition and page you listed.
The library must have entered incorrect data in their obituary index. Also, the microfilm
reel for October 1962 is missing, so I could not look up John T. Weil. Here is what I did
find:
Terre Haute Tribune, Wednesday, April 5, 1922
Word was received in Terre Haute this morning by relatives of Mrs. Isaac Weil, announcing
her death, which occurred at an early hour at Fort Wayne. Mrs. Weil suffered a second
stroke of paralysis which proved fatal, yesterday. Following the accidental death of her
son some five years ago, Mrs. Weil was first stricken, and has been in failing health ever
since. Her last several months have been spent in momentary expectation of her passing,
so her death does not come as a great surprise. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emil
Myers; a brother, Samuel Rothschild, of this city; a brother, Judy Rothschild of Racine,
Wisc., and the widower, Isaac Weil of Fort Wayne, and a host of relatives and friends.
Her brother-in-law, Benjamin Goldman Weil, went to Fort Wayne this morning.
[Note: was Judy a brother or sister? Obit is listed the way it was printed]
