Hi Jan,
I have no Fitz Randolph in my line. I have traced my Randolph branch back,
with the help of a number of great people, to possibly Alexander Randal, born
abt 1700, of Virgina. Alexander Randal is proven the father of James
Randolph, Sr. per a cattle brand; however, some sources believe that since
James was such a common Randolph name, the brand may be referring to a
different James. The search goes on and on and on... From James R. Randolph,
born abt 1725, in Virginia, to my 2nd Great Grandfather James William
Randolph, born 1840, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, is five generations.

For Mark Atterson - Does your Randolph family go back to the Fitz Randolph
line?
They married into my LATHROP line back in the New England states.
