Contact lennie(a)highlandlawn.com. He and the rest of the staff were
very
helpful. They went so far as to take digital photos of headstones and
send
them to me.

largest in the Terre Haute area. Highland Lawn has a web site which
includes some Woodlawn Cemetery info, including a diagram of the cemetery
and as I recall a general map of Highland Lawn - which is huge, well huge
compared to most cemeteries around here. The opening screen has nice
photographs of both cemeteries.

CANNOT
get online info on individual graves, except for "Notables"
buried at
Highland Lawn. BUT, the staff are VERY helpful and over the phone can
look
for a name and tell you where they are buried in Highland Lawn.
I'm not
sure about Woodlawn records - there are two books at the library that list
old burials in Woodlawn - that's how I found my great-grandfather's
sister,
buried around 1880. St. Joseph's, the Catholic part, for older
records,
is
not available. Those records were kept at Calvary cemetery years ago
and
they had two different fires in the house/office which destroyed them. So
burials done after those records were destroyed might have records, but
older burials in the Catholic part/St. Joseph's, are not available for
older
burials. I know this because I called Highland Lawn last week to ask
about
someone buried there in 1899 in the St. Joseph part.
