Judy,
Thanks for the information about Nelson Adams and Annie Cornthwaite. Mom
pointed out to me where they lived recently, when we were on that gravel
road. I don't know what it is named now, but the house where they lived is
gone. I remember my mother and grandmother both talking about the couple,
whom I don't remember. I would love to have a scan of that picture to add
to the cemetery records.
Yes, I would like anything you have on Annie's sibs. I may find them
buried in the same cemetery. I am particularly interest in Overpecks, so
if you have anything further on Sarah Ann, I would like to know.
I have Preston as a middle name for John P Adams and his wife Annie
Stryker. I don't have John P's parents, so I have no idea if your Silas
fits in. He is not in my file. You should be able to tell if there is a
match with his birth place and his parents' birth places...assuming there
was no error in reporting.

census. He had a sister Annie at that time. I did not look for them in
the 1900 census. He married in 1901.
Annie Cornthwaite is a first cousin to my grandmother Lottie Cornthwaite
who kept good lists of all her relatives. Annie is the youngest daughter
of John C. Cornthwaite and Sarah Ann Overpeck. Annie was born March 23,
1876. Nelson and Annie had no children that my grandmother knew
of. They were about the same age and I can't believe that my grandmother
would have failed to list them if there were any. I have a picture of
Nelson and Annie Adams taken by my grandmother.
I can give you a list of Annie's siblings if you want them.
I am looking for a connection, if there is one, between John P. Adams and
Silas Adams (born Mar1859). Silas's wife Nancy Hawkins was born Dec
1867. Silas was a Minister of the Gospel at the time of his son's
marriage in Vigo Co in 1910. This son, Ared, married into the family of
my grandmother's husband. Do you know anything about Silas Adams?
