Mary: I know very little about the Tague family except that Minta Almeda Wright married
William H. Tague about 1891. I've found their son, Arthur Tague married to Sylvia
Lowe and found them living with Sylvia's father Edward and mother Cora in the 1930
census. Wm. and Minta were living there as well but instead of being listed as inlaws
they were listed as servants! The Vigo Library Online has a fantastic amount of info
there...and they have both Arthur's marriage image to Sylvia posted as well as his
brother's Forrest E. Tague posted. I hesitate to send for the obits as I'm not
even sure if this is a part of my Wright family line (I'm going through budget
constraints right now).
In the 1920 census Wm. and Minta were renting and Arthur was there age 14, his brother
Forrest Ephraim age 24. Ephraim Wright, widowed father, was also there.
It is this Ephraim Wright I'm interested in backtracking. He died in 1929 presumably
in Riley. I have an Ephraim Wright in my tree who had married Eliza Jane Pittman in
Campbell Co. TN in 1859. In 1861 the majority of the Wright family moved to Indiana and
three of the family settled in Jackson Co. In...I've lost track of Ephraim however as
he doesn't seem to be anywhere. Either he died during the civil war and Eliza had
died as well and the boy, Jesse Wright living with Debbie Wright Mahurin in 1870 is their
son (Ephraims and Eliza's) (or Debbie had a child out of wedlock). OR Eliza had died
and Ephraim moved on to a different area of Indiana which is why I'm looking at this
Ephraim Wright. The age is about the age it should be. I can't find him in the 1880
census however either at the LDS site *sigh* ...
I don't have an index to the 1910 nor 1900 census and was hoping someone might be able
to check the Indiana census for me to see if Ephraim is in Indiana then. Also I need the
1900 and 1910 Illinois census checked since Minta and Wm. Tague were married in Edgar Co.,
Ill ....*lol* don't "want much" do I?
Any info on this Wright will be very welcome!
