I checked with the library, they have no listing of her. I actually got her
death info from the Highland Lawn Cemetery office, (that is where she was
buried.) Thanks for the correction on the spelling, they pronounced it, but
didn't spell it for me.

Just to make sure that spelling isn't throwing you off, I feel
certain the
city you referred to is Fontanet, in Vigo County, a very small town.
There
is no "Fountainette" listed in my book of Indiana place
names FROM
NEEDMORE
TO PROSPERITY: HOOSIER PLACE NAMES IN FOLKDLORE AND HISTORY, by
Ronald L.
Baker.
Of course, it is always possible she died somewhere you don't know about,
and that's why you can't find a death certificate. I have had the problem
in some of my research. The library has the WPA death records in book as
well as microfilm form, so you could ask them to check the book for her
name. E-mail them from the website, or call 812-232-1113 and ask for the
Special Collections Dept. Do you already have an obituary? If not, check
for the date her obituary appeared in the Terre Haute newspaper by going
to
the library website
www.vigo.lib.in.us and look for the Wabash
Valley
Obituary Index.
