recollection, there was nothing like it at Fruitridge & Wabash.

Maybe the one I am thinking of was at Wabash and Fruitridge. It's been 25
years since I have been in Terre Haute.

The Rose Home still had children in it as late as the 1950's. It was torn
down and there is now a shopping center in that whole block. Several years
ago, Dorothy Clark of the Vigo County Historical Society had the lists of
the
children housed there. She is retired now. I wish I knew where to look for
those records for my Dad's sisters and brother were wards there in the
1920's.
