Yes, I have done work on the Hull family, or at least on Nancy Ellen
Hull. The Hull family came to NJ in the late 17th Century from
Piscatqua, Maine (then Mass). They were moderate Anglicans in a period
when moderacy meant trouble. When NJ was established after the Dutch
were expelled in 1664, a group of Quakers from Piscataqua settled at
Pisctaway, NJ. Some of the Hull family, sympathetic to the Quakers but
not Quakers themselves, moved to Piscataway. Being a large family, their
children scattered, one group going to Virginia, and some of them moving
back. Others went to Morris County (Chester) NJ, and to some of the
other NW counties of the state. The line I was researching moved to
Licking County, Ohio, and some of their offspring came to Vigo County.
(And from there to Iowa.) Unfortunately, the exact link of the Licking
County's Uriah Hull to the earlier families is lost in Virginia
somewhere, but the general outline is clear.
I have a lot of stuff, which I can send you personally, by attachment.
It won't go on the Vigo site. I hope you have a high-speed link.
Anyway, I will start on that tomorrow or Sunday.
