Indiana has a newspaper project. The films for Vigo are in the State
Library in Indianapolis and may possibly be purchased through the State
Historical Society. . You should be able to borrow through your local
library inter -library loan free of charge. I have done this several
times at the Xenia Lib. in Ohio. The libraries use a commercial film
service. The film is of very good quality.
Film of Vigo records are harder to come by. I am a volunteer in a LDS
Family History Library. Check the LDS site,
familysearch.org , for the
catalog of those available to rent at your local LDS research center. The
cost is $3.50 .

Mary Ann,
I have had quite a difficult time accessing materials for Vigo and Parke
County. Pretty much everything I ordered interlibrary was not available
for
loan. I sure was disappointed. I must say the folks at the library
in
Vigo
Co. who assist with mailed requests are wonderful. I wish I could
find
old
newspaper film to buy copies of!
