Red Man or Redman, however, may have just been a name my Grandfather made up
for the cemetery. I have also been told as I have aged that the stones we
were searching for and called Indian beads were not Indian beads at all.

Susie, I have never heard it called Red Man Cemetery. When I was a
girl
there
was a main entrance on the Margaret Ave. side. They had the entrance with
the
Arches on the other side because Lockport Rd was once a main road going to
Old Lockport or Riley as we know it now. I think Grandview Cemetery was
walked
and the stones copied years ago. Check with the Vigo County Library. It is
a
very old cemetery.
Lockport Rd has been closed because they are planning to make a safer RR
crossing at 19th and Margaret.
