I found source information in my Family Tree Maker referring to the factory.
My great-grandfather worked there in the 1940's-1950's. The information
comes from a book titled: General Histories: The Industrial Advantages of
Terre Haute, Indiana, pub 1890 which I found online at the Vigo County
Public Library website at one time. I did not however copy the entire
paragraph about the factory and cannot seem to find the book at the VCPL
website today.
This is the information I have: The Ehrman Manufacturing Co., 122, 124 and
126 Wabash Ave. (Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana)
......manufacture of Pants, Shirts, overalls, etc., for workingmen,
mechanics, and others. Enterprise established in 1888 and gives employment
to about two hundred and fifty.....The members of the firm are all active
workers and fully conversant with all the details of the business to which
they give their close personal supervision. They are esteemed and public
spirtied citizen....
