It's been a while since I've been @ this site.... After more searching, I learned that my 2g gf was James Turner Cummin(g)s who married Catherine Booth on 2 Dec 1850 in Vigo Co., IN. Their son, James Berry Cummins is my direct line. I never received the picture you mentioned of James but did discover a picture of his headstone. Mary Elizabeth & "Mattie" were James & Catherine's children. To this day, I cannot create a timeline for Catherine (Booth). Family stories have said she died young & other relatives raised the children. Would you be so kind as to email me the picture you mentioned some time ago? I've had a lot of luck timelining James. Was the Clem family related to Catherine Booth (she was living with them in 1850 @ Honey Creek,Vigo, IN & one of her children, James Edward "Ed" Cummins was living with her in 1870 Honey Creek also.If you send the picture, please use my email s_k_cummins(a)yahoo.com where I have better luck communicating.
Most Respectfully, Sharon Cummins

Vic Green is my wife's 11th cousin 3 x removed ( very distant).
Do you know what happened to his sister Josephine born late 1929? Some trees give her as Josephine Tote Green born 3march1926 died 2004 and married to William C GReen, but I don't believe for a moment that this is correct.
It is not always easy to research USA stuff from Downunder.

My husband's g grandmother was Lavina Slocum whose mother was Alloy Puckett. I have the marriage certificate for Alloy and Loran Thomas Slocum (1868) The name on the certificate is "Alcy". The Indiana State Library lists her name as "Elsie".Am trying to determine father of Lavina, as 1880 census shows "Alcy" as married to Lewis Slocum and Lavina as being 14 years old (b 1866) showing her to have been born 2 years prior to Alcy marrying Loran. Loran died in 1890. Confusing? Would like to exchange information.
