This Bible belonged to John and Mary (Wilson) Richey who can be found in Fayette Township of Vigo County, Indiana in the 1850 census:
Richey, John, age 52, born in Kentucky
Richey, Mary, age 35, born in Kentucky
Richey, Sarah, age 21, born in Indiana
Richey, Zerelda, age 7, born in Illinois
Richey, Jane, age 5, born in Indiana
The 1860 census of this same township includes:
Richey, Mary, age 55, born in Kentucky
Richey, Manerva, age 15, born in Indiana
This Sarah Richey from the 1850 census may be one in the same as Sarah Ann Surgar who died in 1852. She was born before Mary Wilson and John Richey married so may be from a previous marriage.
John and Mary Richey are buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in New Goshen, Vigo County, Indiana. His marker clearly gives his death date of 12 Dec 1856. His age at the time of death is given as 53 years, 6 months and 2 days. He would have been born on 10 Jun 1803. Mary Richey was 81 years old when she died on 21 Dec 1885 and would have been born in 1804. Since they did not marry until 1840 they may have been married before.
Genealogical records were found for Serelda M. Richey born 02 Sep 1843 (as noted in family Bible) who married on 22 Mar 1859 in Vigo County, Indiana to John H. Mickelberry. Their children were:
Charles F. Mickelberry born 02 Jun 1860 (noted in family Bible)
William Riley Mickelberry born 09 Nov 1861 (noted in family Bible without last name)
Martha Jane Micelberry born 02 Sep 1863
Mary Belle Mickelberry born 17 Apr 1865
John Wesley Mickelberry born 29 May 1867
George Mickelberry born 1869
Thomas Edward Mickelberry born 05 Jan 1871
Dora V. Mickelberry born 03 Mar 1873
Walter Richey Mickelberry born 03 Mar 1878
Lester Gordon Mickelberry born 05 Aug 1879.
Charles was born in Fayette Township, Vigo County, Indiana. William, Martha, Mary and John were born in Edgar County, Illinois. George, Thomas, Dora, Walter and Lester were born in Bogard Township, Henry County, Missouri. This family moved on to
Bozeman, Gallatin County, Montana by 1900. Serelda (Richey) Mickelberry died in Bozeman, Montana on 20 May 1910 and John H. Mickelberry died there on 12 Dec 1916.
Genealogical records were found for Minerva Jane Richey born 10 Jun 1845 (as noted in family Bible) who married on 18 Jul 1861 in Vigo County, Indiana to John P. Todd. Their children born in Fayette Township, Vigo County, Indiana were:
William J. Todd b. 20 Jun 1862 (noted in family Bible)
Thomas J, Todd born 1864
Ed R. Todd born 1867
Dora E. Todd born 1872
Bertha A. Todd born Sep 1875
Fred C. Todd born 1879
Emma Todd born 1881
Claude E. Todd born 1887
I am not related to this family but had the privledge or researching this old Bible.

I have come to a dead end on my search into the Robertson family tree at Samuel Robertson. He was married to Melvinah and I know he fought for the Illinois 9th Infantry Volunteers in the Civil War. I believe he died around 1870 as we have records of Melvinah receiving his pension around that time. Any information on this branch of my family tree would be greatly appreciated!

I am looking to verify the date of death and location of burial on this little boy. He had a sister named Irene. They were at the Home in the 1040s and he was around 5 to 8 years old.
I would like to add his name to the death listing from the Home on the website.
If anyone has any information that could help I appreciate it.

Hi,
I'd read his name as Ferdinan - which is probably Ferdinand, in the 1860 census below although Ancestry does index it with another spelling.

Do you think this is also him? If so, it seems that his wife and several children died between 1860 and 1870.
I can't find Moses Oliver in any later census, sorry.
