Do you know his wife's name? Any names of his children or when he was born. I found info on some with the last name Leucht but it would help if I had some names.

Calvin, one of the children you mentioned, is Calvin Clifford Myers born in 1875, died in 1934. He was my great great grandfather. He moved his family to Wheatfield Indiana sometime around 1920. He had a brother who came with named Emmery Cecil Myers. Could that be "EllenEmry" from your list?

Hello,
I have a David Gideon Casto in my direct line. I have just started my research on him so I have no idea if he was ever in
West Terri Haute in 1890's, but I would like to give it a try. I do have him as being in Upsure County West Virginia in the early 1900's as this is the time my grandfather was born.
Please contact me at:

Thanks,
Debbie

Hello Wilson,
The Genung who settled in Vigo, was Joseph, who brought his wife, Mary, and
children with him. Joseph was the son of Stephen and Phebe (Megie) Genung.
Stephen was an older brother to your Apphia. Joseph and family settled
first in New Albany, Indiana, and stayed there for 5 years. They then moved
to Owen County, Indiana, and remained there for about 5 years. In 1828,
they moved to Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. Around 1842, they moved to
what became Terre Haute, Illinois. The ancestor I am researching (Albert)
remained in Terre Haute, Indiana, when Joseph and family moved to Illinois.
Albert was already married with children at the time that Joseph and the
rest of the family moved to Illinois.

Hello cousins,
I subscribe to this site because of interests in families of various in-laws
(Montgomery in particular), but am interested in the lineage of the first
Genung to come to Vigo. My dear great great great grandmother was Apphia
Genung Spencer (1768-1857) wife of William Spencer. Her parents were Thomas
Genung and Phebe Ward, and I suspect it is one of Apphia's brothers or
nephews who went to Indiana. Phebe Ward's ancestry is still a mystery since
most people confuse her with the Phebe Ward who married Nathaniel Chandler
and leave it at that. If she was indeed married to Chandler, then she had
two marriages at the same time.
Wilson Brown
Kathleen,
I have a little information about them. I will email it to you. If you
have anything else on Warren, or the other Genung's, I would love to see it.
Carol

Carol,
I got my material out and found a copy of an e-mail from five years ago
when
we talked about Sarah HINES and Warren GENUNG. I am still stuck where I was
back then unfortunately. Sarah's parents were James M. HINDS and Lucia PAINE
m. 4 June 1840 Vigo Co. In 1850 six year old Sarah was living in Otter
Creek Township along with younger sister Laura, age 4 with Grandmother
Sarah
Searing PAINE who had just married widower, Bethuel RICKMAN. In 1860 Sarah
is
living and working in Otter Creek with the family of Clark TUTTLE.
If you have any further info on Warren or Sarah I would be very interested.
Thanks So Much,
Kathleen

The genealogy society is doing a lot of work photographing the tombstones and they have a pretty good list. You could also try findagrave.com.
