Hi, Thank you for setting me straight on the name. I have long been confused about it after looking at cemetery records. Now it makes sense! My main interest (at the moment) is the Armstrong family. I have been looking for Ruth Armstrong's family for a couple of years now. I was looking in Vigo County and apparently the family is not there any more. My email for genealogy is genietreas(a)yahoo.com if you would like to correspond.

Hi Junel,
In your post you said John Kester. You meant John Kester Carr didn't you? Which "Is" who Elizabeth Kelley married. I don't have anything on the parents of Ruth Armstrong or David Kelley. I have quite a bit on the family of John Kester Carr.

A bible! As in Andrew Armstrong born about 1763? What does it say about his wife or does it mention any parents? Andrew and his wife (Elizabeth or Ann) may have been married in Pennsylvania.
Any information about Andrew and his wife and their children would be helpful (if it mentions them as well) and can send you what I have so far although it is a result of a family 'reconstruction' and probably needs some corrections. You have the best source. I would gladly reimburse you for any copies of the bible but it's probably much too old and fragile.
Thank you for letting me know John Kester Carr's family. That is great you have the Civil War paperwork for him.
I am a descendant of Andrew Armstrong through his oldest son William Armstrong (Ruth Armstrong's brother). He lived in Vigo County at Prairie Creek and built a mill there about 1821.
I really appreciate your time in answering my query so quickly. My email is: genietreas(a)yahoo.com

Hi, In my files I have a daughter of David Kelly and Ruth Armstrong named Elizabeth Kelly who married John Kester. Is this line related to the Carr's by marriage perhaps? If so, do you know anything about Ruth Armstrong? Maybe you can set me straight on relationships I found in cemetery records. Thanks - Junel

I would love to discuss this family with you. Please e-mail genealogy_123(a)yahoo.com
I had ancestors living in Lost Creek Township before 1840 and later.
Some of them may well be buried in a Cemetery in that area. Does any one
have records of Cemetery inscription for that area. I am interested in the
Solomon family. Does any one know if there are abandoned Cemeteries in that
township that may have never been read. If there are printed books to buy of
Cemetery records I would be interested in buying such.
Anyone researching families in that area who came from Kentucky, I would
like to chat with you. My Solomon family came from Knox, Kentucky but may
have been in Tenn. and Va. before 1810.
